Doing OK here. As Julie’s dad would say…just hunkering down. There seems to be so much up in the air. The stuff going on in the US right now is jaw dropping with such a complete non communication existing between Democrat and Republican. Here in UK we have a discredited Pm and government (who backed him) trying to ‘move on’. The awful thing here is that I think he might survive. Still the salutary thought is that we get the government we voted for. It seems I am becoming more and more off the track. Probably just like the Democrats and Republicans. I cannot understand how any educated person could hold those views (fill in whatever views are the discussion of the moment). But in that last statement I think we have the nub of the matter: education. Dangerous toys in the hands of children are a disaster. No one lets a child loose with a chainsaw if they have any sense. I think that is the world I live in; populated and controlled by kids with chainsaws with no moral compass to guide them. Ain’t democracy wonderful…but it is the best model we have had so far. And then, don’t mention the war or the climate!
